🎨 September–November Art Highlights

秋が深まり、スタジオの雰囲気も少しずつフェスティブムードに🎃✨

毎年恒例のハロウィンイベントや、クリスマスがもうすぐそこまでやってきました。

9月から11月にかけて、子どもたちは「表現」「創造」「文化」を通してたくさんのことを学び、英語とアートの両方で大きく成長しています。

🐟 9月 — 海の世界とスピーチ練習

9月は、クラゲやイワシなど、海の生き物をテーマに制作しました。アクリル絵の具のグラデーションや、水彩の透明感、アルミホイルの質感表現など、さまざまな技法に挑戦！

英語では、

👉 It’s floating!

👉 Where does your jellyfish live?

などのフレーズを学びながら、会話の練習も行いました。

また、10月の「英語×アート発表会」に向けて、英語スピーチの準備もスタート。自分の作品について英語で表現する力と、自信を育てました。

🍂10月 — 発表会、秋の色彩、そしてジャングルのリーダーたち！

10月は、たくさんの発見とワクワクが詰まった1か月でした！月のはじめには、「マンドリル（ヒヒ）」をテーマにしたアートを制作しました。🌴🦧ジャングルの中での動物の順位や社会構造を学びながら、“horde（群れ）” や “status（地位）” などの英単語にもチャレンジ。マーカーや色鉛筆を使って、重ね塗りの技法でマンドリルそれぞれの個性や立場を表現しました。

また、GemEgg恒例の 英語×アート発表会 では、生徒一人ひとりが自分のお気に入りの作品を英語でプレゼンテーション！🌟これまでの成長が感じられる、とても感動的な時間になりました。

そして月の後半には、毎年人気の カレンダープロジェクト がスタート！最後は笑顔と笑い声がいっぱいの ハロウィンイベント🎃 で締めくくりました。

🐴11月 — 年末カレンダー＆サンタのポートレート

11月は、2025年の干支「うま🐴」をテーマにした 年末カレンダープロジェクト を引き続き進めています。子どもたちは、日本製のエコなライスワックス（米ぬか）から作られた Kitpasクレヨン を使って、柔らかく色鮮やかな層を重ねながら作品を完成させています。完成した作品は、GemEgg特製の美しいカレンダーとしてお届けする予定です✨

後半には、サンタクロースのポートレートを制作予定🎅アートだけでなく、短い英語の手紙も書きながら英語表現を練習します。たとえば…

As autumn progresses, our studio is slowly turning festive — with our yearly Halloween Event and Christmas just around the corner! From September through November, our students have been learning through expression, creativity, and culture, growing beautifully in both English and art.

🐟 September — Under the Sea & Speech Practice

In September, students created jellyfish and sardines inspired by the beauty of the ocean. They practiced painting acrylic gradients, and experimented with watercolor transparency and foil textures while learning English phrases and conversational questions like:

We also began preparing speeches in English for our October English × Art Presentation Event, helping students build confidence expressing their ideas.

🍂 October — Presentations, Autumn Colors, and the Jungle’s Leaders!

October was filled with excitement and discovery! At the beginning of the month, our students explored the colorful world of Mandrill Baboons. They learned specific English words like “horde” and “status” in relation to animal hierarchy in the jungle, while practicing layering techniques using markers and colored pencils to show each mandrill’s unique personality and rank. 🌴🦧

Meanwhile, our English × Art Presentation Event took place, where each child proudly presented their favorite artwork in English — a milestone that showed just how far they’ve come! 🌟

Finally, students began our popular yearly Calendar Project, and wrapped up the month with our lively Halloween Celebration, full of laughter, costumes, and spooky fun! 🎃✨

🐴 November — Year-End Calendar & Santa Portraits

This month, we’re continuing our Year-End Calendar Project, featuring 2025’s zodiac animal — the Horse! 🐴

Students are using special Kitpas crayons, made in Japan from eco-friendly rice bran wax, to add soft, colorful layers to their horse designs. The finished pieces will be assembled into beautiful GemEgg calendars for the new year. ✨

In the later weeks, we’ll begin our Santa Claus portraits to celebrate the upcoming holiday season. Students will practice English in class by adding their own unique details in short letters to Santa and sharing what they want for Christmas:
